The team leader...

I believe God has been leading me and now opened the door for me to take a team of adults to Cambodia.
Over the last 10 years, I have seen a growing personal interest in Southeast Asia from friends and study. If you were to ask me 6 months ago, I would have said that I have a growing heart and interest in this region, but I would have thought it was a strange thing like my love for garlic.

As you likely know, I am now serving as a part of Northshore Baptist Church in the great city of Bothell, and in my time here, I have started learning about the horrors of the sex-trade with children and young people along the Cambodia-Thailand border. I’d like to go bash some bad guys’ brains…but at this time, I am seeing God lead another direction.

More recently, Pastor Hilario from Northshore approached me about leading a team to Cambodia because of a specific need to train the local Cambodian churches on how to reach and disciple young people (what I do “professionally”) but he also has expressed interest in seeing what future ministry we at Northshore could have with this region. As a church, we already support some ministries in that area, and we are sensing the desire to increase our involvement.

The trip is now on and we are planning for it…October 24th through November 3rd.
